That said, this is a great software DAW and a ton of fun to use. It is very stable on Windows and handles multiple cores just fine. The built in plugs are great, with the channel strip and Final Mix worth several times the price by themselves. Tracktion has a very unique workflow that is very easy to learn if you can let go of some of your preconceptions likening a DAW to a traditional mixer. I've been 'around the world' with software DAWs and always come back to Tracktion. I've made more music with this than any of the others.

You can still download a fully featured demo from mackie.com if you want to give it a spin. I made a big spoof trying to burn CDs! I got it woorking, and have discovered new features. One of them is the Sample Tank Uno synth, which works awesomely! I just need to figure out how to get it to record onto the track, but I'll probably figure it out anyway. The midi is good too, but it needs more drum vairants.
